# What is Mudad?

Mudad is Saudi Arabia's wage protection platform, through which employers file payroll data so the ministry can verify that wages were paid correctly and on time.

## Mudad explained

Mudad is the Saudi analogue of the UAE's WPS. Employers upload wage files reflecting contracted pay, and the ministry compares filed wages against contract and GOSI records.

Discrepancies between the contracted wage in Qiwa, the contributory wage in GOSI and the paid wage in Mudad are what trigger compliance flags — which is why the three need to be generated from one payroll run rather than reconciled afterwards.
